My mother immigrated from Italy to the United States. She came to this country on a boat and has lived in Philadelphia ever since. She has never looked back or returned to her native country and she loves America.

When my mother celebrated a landmark anniversary of her arrival to this country, I created a gift basket to commemorate her life in the USA The intention was to craft a memorable and personalized gift that she would cherish for a long time. The basket was unique in its design and what it included. A platter was engraved with the words “Welcome to America” and the date of her arrival. A picture of the boat she arrived in and a miniature Statue of Liberty were included. Photos from her wedding day and her children also adorned the basket. She received red, white and blue angels to add to her existing collection. The basket was decorated with flags from Italy and the United States and adorned with red, white and blue flowers.

Mom thought the basket was GREAT! She reacted with such joy and appreciation.
